Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners has entered into a Master Services Agreement with a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager with approximately $175 billion in assets under management, 23,000 operating employees and 500 investment professionals. Brookfield has over a 100-year history of owning and operating assets with a focus on property, renewable power, infrastructure and private equity.
Brookfield is co-listed on the New York and Toronto Stock Exchanges under the symbol BAM and on NYSE Euronext under the symbol BAMA.

Richard Legault is a Senior Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners, one of the largest publicly-traded, pure-play renewable power platforms globally traded on the TSX under the symbol BEP.UN.
Mr. Legault oversees Brookfield’s Power & Utilities Platform, comprising the company’s renewable power generation and electric utilities businesses. He has led the growth of Brookfield’s renewable power operations in North and South America, which today comprises over 200 generating facilities, making it one of the largest publicly-traded renewable power portfolios. The company also owns and operates more than 11,000 kilometers of high voltage transmission infrastructure.
Mr. Legault was Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Asset Management from 2000 to 2001, prior to which he held several senior positions in operations, finance, and corporate development with the company’s forest products operations.
Mr. Legault is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Shah joined Brookfield in 2002 as part of the corporate finance team and most recently served as Managing Partner for Brookfield Asset Management. In that capacity he focused on financial reporting, treasury, risk management and investor relations. In 2011, he joined Brookfield Renewable as Chief Financial Officer.
